BERSATU’s future is perceived by previous UMNO supreme council official Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz to be mostly dependent on PM Muhyiddin Yassin’s political fortune.

The Padang Rengas Member of Parliament said that because of that, BERSATU chose to continue working with PAS through the National Alliance (PN) because the Islamic party has grassroots strength as reported by Sinar Harian.

Nazri said that if Muhyiddin were no longer the prime minister, BERSATU would collapse. The party has no future because it is only linked to Muhyiddin as the prime minister.

That is why, for Nazri, BERSATU who has no grassroots strength only wants to depend on PAS which has grassroots strength.
