Infusion of RM2bil by the corporation to purchase land for the Kulim airfield.

Its been disclosed that a company committed to investing RM2 billion to acquire nearly 10,000 acres of land in Sidam Kiri near Sungai Petani to build Kulim International Airport and other related developments. Kedah menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said the new company has entered into a joint venture with the State Government Related Company KXP Airportcity Holdings Sdn Bhd and will build the whole project.

At a press conference here, he said the company was given six months from today to raise RM2 billion to purchase 9,841 acres of land that had been previously approved for land acquisition. The airport and other related developments announced earlier, would cost a total of RM6.8B.
